About Me

Hello! I would like to first pay my Respect to the Kulin Nation also known as Central Victoria. I would also like to state that I am occupied on Unceded land of the Wurundjeri People. I would like to give thanks to the Wurundjeri Willum Clan, whom I deeply respect and will like to continue my gratitude to Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islanders, past, present and emerging.
I'm Sara and I am an Architectural Design student at Monash University, as well as a co-host of the MADASS 'Sketch and Specs' podcast. I have completed my Undergraduate studies and have began to start my Masters in Architecture. Through my past studios, I have been exposed to the devastating conditions of the Earth and Country. Since then, I am now greatly fascinated in Architecture related to climate change, environmentalism, diversity and inclusivity, a focus of mine that I wish to continue learning. With the current situation of the Earth, Architecture is now more important than ever, Designers, Architects and Engineers have the ability to form structures to co-exist with the environment, slow the process of the decaying Earth and hopefully allow the eco-system to regenerate.
Besides my interest and studies in Architecture, I also do Art. I like to work with simple mediums such as pens, pencil or fine liners. I love to show great amount of detail using such mediums. I also dabble in digital art but nothing beats doing it strictly by hand, something that I am attempting to do more in my Architectural Studios. Currently my Artworks are Anatomy based, I enjoy being able to find a hidden world within a world, to learn and understand more about Death/Life, what it is, what it means. However I plan to explore this concept more and explore Art related to ecology, in order to form a connection between, Art, Life, Death, and Architecture.
I plan to blog my theories, concepts, opinions, images and designs of my explorations and experiences.
